Hello! I’m a visual artist and educator from New York who makes paintings, sculptures, and animations.

I’m interested in the subjectivity of perspective in personal and collective memory and embrace experimentation and collaboration across mediums ~ working with oil, acrylic, and water-based paint, as well as ceramics, textiles, text, and stop-motion animation. My interdisciplinary practice draws from my experiences growing up in a family of itinerant artists, and my research-based projects often challenge dominant narratives and hierarchies in art history.

My work has been exhibited internationally and supported by organizations including the European Ceramic Work Centre and the Vermont Studio Center, and has been featured in curated projects and shows at Smack Mellon, Maake Projects, Field Projects Gallery, Deanna Evans Projects, the American Museum of Ceramic Art, and the Zimmerli Art Museum, among others. I’m an alum of The Art & Law Program and the Eagleton Institute of Politics graduate fellowship program and have been a finalist for the AXA Art Prize.

Currently based in Beacon, NY, I grew up by the Long Island Sound and was raised in the NYC and Washington, D.C. areas. I went to McGill University in Montreal for a BA in History, studied painting with Emma Talbot at Central St. Martins College of Art & Design in London, and received my MFA in Art & Design from Rutgers University, where I studied with artists including Kara Walker and Aki Sasamoto.
